Reading Measured Value Block

Test requirements:

• Engine coolant temperature at least 80 °C.

• Electrical accessories switched off (coolant fan must not run during the test).

• Air conditioning switched off.

Test sequence

- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system (VAS5051). Refer to => [ VAS 5051, Connecting and Select Functions ] VAS 5051, Connecting and Select Functions and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Ignition must be switched on.

- Start engine.

- Under - 1 - select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".

Display on (VAS5051):





1. Enter display group: max. input value = 255

- Enter desired display group number (three figures) in zone - 2 - and confirm entry by pressing Q button.

• The choice of display group depends on the particular functions and components to be tested.

1. Read Measured Value Block

2. Display zone 1, 2, 3, 4

3. Display group X

- Exit function "08 - Read measured value block" by pressing arrow button.

• If no display follows, a display field is not assigned.

• To switch to a different display group, proceed as follows:





- Press arrow button to end function "08 - Read measuring value block".
