CAUTION!
Shift selector lever into position "P" and engage parking brake before working with the engine running.
• Grease mounting points and contact surfaces with Polycarbamide Grease (G 052 142 A2).

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle
3 Selector lever handle
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle
4 Cover
• With selector scale and Tiptronic gate
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tiptronic Switch ] Tiptronic Switch and also unclipping symbol inserts
5 Symbol panel
• Clipped into the cover
6 Printed circuit board
• With integrated Tiptronic Switch (F189)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tiptronic Switch ] Tiptronic Switch
• Switch consists of 3 Hall sensors, which are activated by a magnet on the transverse slide of the cover strip.
• If malfunctioning, start by checking whether solenoid is correctly fixed on cross slide masking panel => [ (Item 7) Cover strip ] , replace masking panel if necessary.
• Before replacing circuit board when DTC "18161" is entered in DTC memory, first check adjustment of selector lever cable, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Checking and Adjusting ] 01V,01VA Transmission
