Fuel Rail

The intake manifold runner position sensor (G336) must be adapted to the engine control module (J623) after removing or replacing the fuel rail vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5052) guided function.

• Intake manifold must be removed, Intake manifold, removing. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] Intake Manifold With Fuel Rail.

- Remove hoses from EVAP canister.

- To do so, open hose clamp - 1 -.

- Loosen two bolts - arrows - of fuel rail.





- Pull the hose connection - 1 - off from intake manifold and remove both bolts - arrows -.

- Open both fuel lines - 2 and 3 -.





- Carefully pry off linkage from intake flap motor (V157) - 4 -.

- Remove intake flap motor - 5 -.





- Pry the fuel rail off from the intake manifold via the retaining tabs - arrows -.





- Remove fuel rail from intake manifold.

Installing

- Installation is in reverse order.
