• If "USA" coding is transmitted by the instrument cluster control module (J285), the A/C system control is slightly "cooler" and the temperature display is switched to °F (Fahrenheit). The temperature display unit in the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head can be changed. Refer to => [ Climatronic Control Module A/C Control Head ] A/C System Control and Regulation Components.

• If coding for a vehicle with steering on the right is transmitted and the instrument cluster control module (J285) changes the activation for the control motors (different connector assignment to the control motors), the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head no longer recognizes the lack of the back pressure flap motor (V71) as a fault and the seat recognition for heated driver and passenger seats is interchanged.

• The heating of the coolant calculated by the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head after a cold engine start differs between the various engine versions.

• If the coding of the Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control head is to be switched to another country version for example (e.g. to USA characteristic curve, regulation slightly cooler in summer) without changing the coding in the instrument cluster control module (J285), proceed as follows:

- Change the coding in the instrument cluster control module (J285) to the desired coding (e.g. for USA).

- Perform the basic setting of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head.

- Change the coding in the instrument cluster control module (J285) to the original coding
