Variable Convertible Top Compartment





1 - Variable Convertible Top Compartment

• Open the convertible top until the compartment is open.

• Remove the trim in the convertible top compartment.

• Remove the left and right screws - 2 - (Qty. 2).

• Close the convertible top.

• Open the rear lid.

• Remove the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to => [ Convertible Top Compartment Cover ] Convertible Top Compartment Cover.

• Remove the handle trim. Refer to => [ Handle Mount Trim ] Handle Mount Trim.

• Remove the cables from the clips.

• Insert a large flat blade screwdriver - 6 - between the side of the convertible top compartment - 4 - and the bracket - 3 - and carefully loosen the compartment from the bracket - 5 - (secured with adhesive tape)

• Disconnect the micro switch connector on the right side - 7 -.

• Remove the cables from the clips.

• Close the rear lid.

• Move the convertible top back into position "convertible top compartment open".

• A second technician is needed to lift it out.

• Place the handle mount trim on the compartment.

• Remove the left. Refer to => [ Left Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Trim and right luggage compartment side trim => [ Right Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Trim.

• The variable convertible top compartment must be lifted on the frame components; do not hold the compartment in the middle.

• Lift both side of the variable convertible top compartment - 1 - on the sides - 4 -.

• Make sure the cables do not get caught.

2 - Screws, (Qty. 2)

• Tightening specification 2 Nm
