Transverse Acceleration Sensor and Rotation Rate Sensor

Removing

- Remove the shift cover.

- Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) sensor - 3 -.

- Air Conditioning (A/C) operating unit - 1 -.

The ESP sensor is located under the center console beneath the ashtray.





- The ESP sensor electrical connector is located behind the large wiring harness.

- Disconnect the ESP sensor electrical connector - arrow -





- Remove the 2 cap nuts - 2 -. Tightening specification for nuts 10 Nm.





Installing

Installation steps are carried out in the reverse order of removal:

- Install the shift cover.

• The transverse acceleration sensor is sensitive to strong vibrations.

• If the sensor falls on the floor, proper sensor function can no longer be guaranteed. Do not use sensor.
