Shift Knob with Cover

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clamp Pliers (V.A.G 1275)

Removing

• The shift knob is removed together with the shift lever boot and the cover for center console.

- Open the ashtray.

- Unclip center console cover and remove upward - arrows -.





Shift knob with clamp:

- Fold cover upward and over shift knob.

- Open clamp - arrow - and pull off shift knob together with cover.





Shift knob with locking mechanism:

- Release connection piece - 1 - in direction of - arrow - and remove selector knob upward together with shift lever cover.





Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal.
