Towing Recognition Control Module

Towing recognition control module (J345) is located in the luggage compartment, right, under battery.

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the (VAS 5051B) display.

- Remove battery. Refer to => [ Battery ] Battery.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.





- Remove bolts - 3 - and detach towing recognition control module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install battery. Refer to => [ Installing ] Battery.

If towing recognition control module was replaced, it must be re-coded with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester display.
