Left Front Muffler

Removing

- Remove rear noise insulation by loosening fasteners - 2 and 4 -.





• Ignore items - 1 and 3 -.

- Unbolt front transverse beam - arrows -.





- Remove left front muffler nuts - 1 -.





• Ignore items - 2 and 3 -.

CAUTION!
Risk of damaging decoupling elements in front exhaust pipe.

• Do not bend decoupling elements in front exhaust pipe more than 10°.

- Remove nut - left arrow - at left front muffler retaining strap.





• Ignore - right arrow -.

- Disconnect exhaust system at left clamping sleeve - 1 - and remove left front muffler.





• Ignore - 2 -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Muffler Assembly Overview ] Muffler Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace gaskets and self-locking nuts.

- Install front cross member.

- Align exhaust system free of tension. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Removal and Replacement.
