Fresh Air Blower Control Module

Removing

- Remove left and right plenum chamber covers.

- Remove dust and pollen filter. Refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] Air Distributor Housing.

- Remove the tower brace with the reinforcement to the cowl panel trim.

- Remove air intake housing with air flow door. Refer to => [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ] .

CAUTION!
Heat sink may be hot.

- Remove bolts - A - and - B -.





To remove bolt - B -, use 1/4 inch socket wrench set.

Should it not be possible to remove bolt - B - with cover with recirculated-air door installed, cover must also be removed. Refer to => [ Cover with Recirculated Air Door ] Removal and Replacement

- Disconnect connectors - C - and - D - from Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126).

CAUTION!
Do not grasp fans of Fresh Air Blower. Force against fans or shifting balancing weights fastened to fans may cause imbalance and then problems during operation.

- Remove Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126).

Installing

Install in reverse order.

- Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head and erase any faults displayed if necessary Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
