Front Interior Lamp with Roof Electronics Control Module, from 09.07

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or " Guided Functions".

- Select the function or path:





- Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Use Pry lever (80 - 200) to carefully pry front edge of cover panels - 1 - out of interior light as shown.





- Remove screws - 2 -.





- Pry the front interior lamp - 1 - out using the pry lever (80 - 200) as shown in the illustration.

- Pivot front interior light downward and remove from roof trim.

- Unplug multi-pin connector.

- Press retainer tab - 1 - at multi-pin connector.





- Unclip securing bracket of connectors - arrow - and disconnect connectors.

- Unplug remaining connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Engage interior light and bolt on.

If roof electronics control module (J528) was replaced, it must be re-coded.

- Select the function or path:





- Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).
