Fuel Level Sensor

Removing

- Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Safety Precautions.

- Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Fuel Delivery Unit.

• Fuel level sensor (G) is shown without fuel tank to provide a better illustration.

- Reach into the fuel tank and remove the fuel level sensor by pressing locking tabs at the same time - 1 - and - 2 - out of the baffle house guide - arrow -.





• When removing, be sure not to bend floater arm of fuel level sensor.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• When removing, be sure not to bend floater arm on the fuel level sensor

- Install the fuel level sensor into the guide on the outside of the baffle housing and press it down until it audibly clicks.

- Install fuel delivery unit => [ Installing ] Fuel Delivery Unit, connect battery and observe the safety precautions after connecting the battery.

- Check the fuel tank for leaks. Refer to => [ Fuel Tank System, Checking for Leaks ] Fuel Tank System, Checking For Leaks.
