Timing Mechanism Drive Chain

Removing

- Remove camshaft timing chains. Refer to => [ Camshaft Timing Chain ] Camshaft Timing Chain.

- Remove chain for power take-off. Refer to => [ Power Take-Off Chain ] Power Take-Off Drive Chain.

- Remove glide track - 1 - at left cylinder head.





- Remove chain tensioner - 2 -.

- Remove glide track - 1 - at right cylinder head.





- Remove chain tensioner - 2 -.

- Push glide track of chain tensioner for chain drive in direction of - arrow - and pull off chain tensioner using a drill bit 3.3 mm in dia. - 4 -.





- Mark running direction of timing chain with paint.

- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 - and remove chain sprockets with drive chain and glide track - 1 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace bolts which have been tightened to torque.

- Install chain for power take-off. Refer to => [ Power Take-Off Chain ] Power Take-Off Drive Chain.

- Install camshaft timing chains. Refer to => [ Installing ] Camshaft Timing Chain.

Tightening Specifications





* Replace bolts.

* 90° corresponds to one quarter rotation.
