Torque Converter Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Extractor Lever (VW 681) or Pulling Hook (T20143)

• Thrust Piece (T10137)

Procedure

- Torque Converter, Removing. Refer to => [ Torque Converter ] Removal and Replacement

- Pry out the shaft seal using the (VW 681).






• The illustration shows a different transmission.

- Apply ATF to circumference and sealing lips of shaft seal.

• Installed position: Open side of shaft seal faces transmission.

- Install the shaft seal for the torque converter all the way onto the (T10137).
