Selector Shaft, Cleaning

Procedure

• End cover removed, refer to => [ Cover, with Transmission Removed ] Cover, With Transmission Removed.

• Transmission control module (J217) removed, refer to => [ Transmission Control Module (J217) ] Transmission Control Module (J217).

• Refer to => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.

• Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

- Clean the selector shaft catch - arrows -. Use a lint-free cloth. Clean contact surfaces of magnet thoroughly. Make sure there no metal shavings on it.






• Make sure that spring - 1 - and the roller - 4 - are secured properly.

- Check the roller - 4 - and spring - 1 - for damage; replace if necessary.
