Front Center Armrest Carrier

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)





Removing





- Remove front center armrest. Refer to => [ Front Center Armrest ] Front Center Armrest.

- Open front center armrest.

- Carefully remove cover from padding beginning at bottom with (3409).

- Pull cover down off padding - arrow -.

- Press retainer tab - 1 - and simultaneously press padding down - arrow - until padding retainers disengage from front center armrest frame guides.





- Remove storage compartment from front center armrest frame with (3409) on rear edge - arrow 1 -.





- Lift storage compartment with front center armrest frame grip in - direction of arrow 2 -.

Vehicles with mount lift for cell phones:





- Disconnect electrical connector on underside of storage compartment - arrow -.

• Disregard - 1 - and - 2 -

- Remove storage compartment.

Vehicles with telephone mount:





- Remove screws - arrows - on underside of storage compartment.

- Disconnect telephone antenna connection - 1 -.





- Remove telephone circuit board - arrows -.

- Disconnect electrical connector.

- Remove storage compartment.

All:





- Fold center armrest base - 2 - up to stop - arrow -.

- Pry seal - 1 - off with a small screwdriver.

- Unclip front center armrest base trim - 1 - with a small screwdriver - arrow - and remove.





- Fold center armrest base - 1 - down to stop - arrow -.





- Open front center armrest.

- Disengage retainer tab - 3 - on rear center armrest food trim - 2 - from front center armrest frame.

- Remove rear center armrest base trim.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Ensure padding engages completely in front center armrest frame.

- Ensure cover engages completely in padding.

- Install front center armrest. Refer to => [ Front Center Armrest ] Front Center Armrest.
