Radiator and Radiator Fan Overview
Risk of injury from coolant fan starting by itself.
• Before working in fan shroud area, disconnect electrical connectors.
1 Bolt
• 5 Nm
2 Bolt
• 2.1 Nm
3 Coolant Fan Control Module (J293)
4 Fan Rib
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fan Shroud ] Service and Repair
5 Coolant Fan 2 (V177)
• With coolant fan module 2 (J671)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Fan ] Coolant Fan
6 Coolant Hose
• Lift the retaining clamp to remove
• Connect to the radiator
7 O-ring
• Replace
8 Coolant Hose
• Lift the retaining clamp to remove
• Connect to the radiator
9 O-ring
• Replace
10 Coolant Hose
11 Upper Rubber Bushing
12 Retaining Pin
13 Cooler for the Charge Air Cooling Circuit
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Charge Air Cooling Circuit Cooler ] Service and Repair
• After replacing, replace entire amount of coolant
14 Bolt
• 5 Nm
15 Radiator
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator
• After replacing, replace entire amount of coolant
16 Lower Rubber Bushing
17 O-ring
• Replace
18 Coolant Hose
• Lift the retaining clamp to remove
• Connect to the radiator
19 Coolant Fan (V7)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Fan ] Coolant Fan
20 Bolt
• 2.1 Nm
21 Bolt
• 11 Nm
Connect the Coolant Hose to the Coupling
- Remove the old O-ring - 2 - in the coolant hose - 3 -.
- Coat the new O-ring with coolant and install it in the coolant hose.
- Press the coolant hose onto the connection - 1 - until it engages audibly.
- Press the coolant hose on again and pull to make sure the connection is engaged correctly.
