A/C Unit, Connecting in Coolant Circuit





1 Coolant Hose

Coolant supply from the engine to the pump/valve unit

Connection of the coolant hose at the respective engine.

2 Grommet

For the coolant hose feedthrough opening from the engine compartment to the plenum chamber

3 Right Heat Regulation Valve (N176)

Part of the pump/valve unit

4 Left Heat Regulation Valve (N175)

Part of the pump/valve unit

5 Coolant Pump (V50)

Part of the pump/valve unit

6 Coolant Hose To Heat Exchanger (Passenger Side)

7 Coolant Hose To Heat Exchanger (Driver Side)

8 Coolant Supply Pipe To Heat Exchanger (Passenger Side)

The coolant pipe can be replaced while the A/C unit remains installed => [ A/C Unit Heat Exchanger ] A/C Unit Heat Exchanger.

9 Coolant Supply Pipe To Heat Exchanger (Driver Side)

The coolant pipe can be replaced only with the A/C unit removed => [ A/C Unit Heat Exchanger ] A/C Unit Heat Exchanger.

10 A/C Unit Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger is divided in the center (driver and passenger side)

Removing and installing => [ A/C Unit Heat Exchanger ] A/C Unit Heat Exchanger

11 Coolant Return Pipe From Heat Exchanger

The coolant pipe can be replaced while the A/C unit remains installed => [ A/C Unit Heat Exchanger ] A/C Unit Heat Exchanger.

12 T-Piece with Bleeder Valve

As of 07.2005, T-pieces with restrictors have been installed with gradual introduction (the constriction eliminates the noise from pressure pulsations which may occur while switching valves of the pump valve unit under some operating conditions).

13 Grommet

For the coolant hose feedthrough opening from the plenum chamber to the engine compartment

14 Coolant Hose

Return for coolant from A/C unit heat exchanger to the engine

Connection of the coolant hose at the respective engine
