Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair






ESP Sensor Unit

The ESP Sensor Unit (G419) is located at the front of the tunnel under the air conditioner.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

Removing

- Remove center console extension.

- Disconnect the -1- ESP Sensor Unit (G419) connector.

- - Arrow - indicates direction of travel.





- Remove two bolts - arrows -.





- Remove ESP-Sensor Unit (G419)- 1 -.

Installing

CAUTION!
Strong vibrations can destroy the ESP Sensor Unit (G419).

- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.





When installing ESP Sensor Unit (G419), be sure it is properly seated on the bracket and is free of tension.

Do not use the securing bolts to forcibly position the ESP Sensor Unit (G419).

- Tighten bolts to 10 Nm.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replace" function for respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B) or (VAS 5052).
