A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor

• The A/C output cannot be checked when the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) is removed. The climatronic control module (J255) control head does not switch the compressor on.

• Refrigerant circuit remains closed (connection with valve).

• The A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) measured values can be read out via the "read measured values block" function => Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051.

• The A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) exchanges information with the Climatronic Control Module (J255) via the "Lin Bus" A/C data bus system => Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051.

• The temperature measured by the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) differs from the actual refrigerant temperature because of the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) design and its component location. Because of this, it is not currently evaluated and is not used to regulate the A/C system.

• Only the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) may be installed in the Audi A6 ("gray" housing color).

• A high pressure sensor (G65) may not be installed in the Audi A6 ("black" housing color) (only delivers square-wave signals).

Remove the front bumper.

- Remove the air duct - C - (and the mount for the bumper, depending on the vehicle design - A -).





- Disconnect the connector - A - from the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) - B -.





- Remove the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) - B - (housing color "gray"), torque: 8 Nm.

• At the start of production, the A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395) with the black housing may be installed, for this reason note the part number on the component (potential for confusion with the high-pressure sensor (G65)).

- Replace the O-ring - C -=> [ Refrigerant Circuit O-Ring Seals ] Refrigerant Circuit O-Ring Seals.

Contact 1 ground

Contact 2 - Signal output (via the A/C system "LIN Bus" data bus system to the Climatronic Control Module (J255)

Terminal 3 B+ (terminal "75")

• With the connector disconnected - A - the compressor (the A/C Compressor Regulator Valve (N280)) is not actuated.

• The A/C pressure/temperature sensor (G395)- B - is an electronic control module.
