Center Vent Temperature Sensor

Center Vent Temperature Sensor

As of model year 2006, the Center Outlet Temperature Sensor (G191) has been gradually discontinued, on vehicles without this sensor, only the Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head with part no. 4F1 820 043 as of index "M" (vehicles with left-hand steering), or 4F2 820 043 as of index "F" (vehicles with right-hand steering), is or may be installed.

In vehicles without Center Outlet Temperature Sensor (G191), if a Climatronic Control Module (J255) with part no. 4F1 820 043 up to and including index "L" (vehicles with left-hand steering), and similarly with part no. 4F2 820 043 up to and including index "E" (vehicles with right-hand steering), is installed, the missing sensor is displayed as a malfunction.

The Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head with part number 4F1 820 043 as of Index "M" (for vehicles with left-hand steering) or 4F2 820 043 as of Index "F" (for vehicles with right-hand steering) has been installed since 5/2005 as a rolling change in vehicles with the Center Outlet Temperature Sensor (G191) (the sensor's measured value is no longer required for control by these A/C control heads and therefore no longer evaluated).
