Trailer Hitch Balancing Element Function
• Self-adjusting elements, used for height compensation between longitudinal member and crossmember, are located on ends of the long sides of crossmember.
• Screwing in hex bolt - 1 - automatically compensates the distance between longitudinal member - 3 - and spacer bushing - 4 - of crossmember - 7 -.
1 - Bolt
• 60 Nm
CAUTION!
Under no circumstances are hex bolts to be driven through carrier bushings by hammer blows. Bolts must be screwed completely through carrier bushings - 5 - of spacer bushing - 4 -.
• Screw in completely, do not drive in by hammer blows.

• No replacement part
• Screws out of crossmember while screwing in hex bolt.
• Broken lines identify the initial position.
• Before installing crossmember - 3 -, make sure that spacer bushing is located in initial position.
• If necessary, spacer bushing (left-hand thread) must be screwed in completely.
5 - Carrier Bushing
• Plastic part, pressed into spacer bushing - 4 -.
• No replacement part
6 - Cross Member
7 - Lower Threaded Bushing
• No replacement part
8 - Threaded Plate
• Riveted to longitudinal member from below with tubular rivet - 9 -.
