Intake Manifold Lower-Section

Removing

- Remove upper section of intake manifold => [ Intake Manifold Upper Section ] Cylinder Head, Valvetrain.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - arrow -.





• Illustration shows intake manifold lower section removed.

- Separate electrical connections at the fuel injectors, thereby pressing the release tabs down and then inward - arrow -.





- Remove bolts for fuel rail - arrows -.





- Pull fuel rail together with fuel injectors upward and out.

- Place fuel rail with connected fuel hose onto a clean cloth.

- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove intake manifold lower-part.

• Plug the intake ports of the cylinder head with clean rags.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace O-rings.

• Replace gaskets for intake manifold lower-part if damaged.

- Press nubs of the gaskets for intake manifold lower-section into the holes on the cylinder heads.

- Install intake manifold upper-section => [ Intake Manifold Upper Section ] Cylinder Head, Valvetrain.

Tightening Specifications





* Fasten diagonally in steps.
