Airbag Control Module

CAUTION!
On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar, switch-off emergency (back-up) battery for Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting vehicle battery. Switch-on emergency (back-up) battery after reconnecting vehicle battery
Removing
• The battery must be disconnected when the ignition is switched on.
- Switch on ignition.
- Disconnect the battery ground strap.
- Remove center console => [ Center Console without Extension ] Center Console without Extension.
- Separate insulation at perforation.
- Open securing clip - 3 - on connector - 4 -.
- Remove connector - 4 -.
- Remove nuts - 2 - (Qty. 3).
• Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
- Remove control module - 1 -.
Installing
CAUTION!
On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar, switch-off emergency (back-up) battery for Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting vehicle battery. Switch-on emergency (back-up) battery after reconnecting vehicle battery
- Install control module - 1 - in reverse order of removal.
CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.
- Connect battery ground strap.
• Follow the safety precautions after connecting the battery.
• If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) signals a malfunction after installation, DTC memory must be checked, erased and once again checked using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 A).
• After replacing control module, it must be coded.
