Audi A2, A3, A4, A4 convertible, A5, A6, A8, Q5 and Q7

CAUTION!
Distraction and inadequately secured measuring equipment poses an accident risk.

There is a risk due to deployment of the front passenger airbag in an accident.

Operating measuring equipment while driving creates a distraction.

There is an increased risk of injury if measuring equipment is not secured.

Always secure measuring equipment with a strap on the rear seat and have a 2nd person in the rear seat operate it.

Position the passenger's seat as far back as possible.

Only use the vehicle diagnosis and service system (VAS 5052 A) or diagnostic system (VAS 5053).

Measuring equipment - 1 - must lie flat on the passenger's legs and be operated by that person, as shown in the illustration.

All adaptations, coding, etc. can be performed with the (VAS 5051B) and the (VAS 5052 A).

All work instructions can be reached in the operating modes "Guided Fault Finding" and "Guided Functions".

VAS 5051B, Connecting

Follow the current operating instructions for the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B), which can be displayed by selecting the Administration and User Documentation.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B)

Diagnosis Lead (VAS 5051B/1) or

Diagnosis Lead 3 m (VAS 5051B/2) or

Remote Diagnosis Head (VAS 5054 A) (with USB wire) or

Diagnosis Interface (VAS 5055) with USB wire

Use the correct diagnostic cable when using the (VAS 5052 A) or (VAS 6150).

Procedure

- Engage the parking brake or operate the electromechanical parking brake.

- Shift the shift lever into neutral or place the selector lever in the "P" or "N" position.

- With the ignition turned off, connect the (VAS 5051B) with the diagnosis lead to the diagnostic connector - arrow -.





- When using the (VAS 5054 A) or the (VAS 5055) refer to the operating instructions.

- Turn on the ignition.

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

If a error message appears on the screen of the vehicle diagnostic tester, refer to the operating instructions.
