Exterior Lighting Module: Service and Repair

LED Parking Lamp/Daytime Running Lamp Modules L176 and L177

CAUTION!
Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ Headlamps, Checking and Adjusting ] Adjustments.

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing





- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Housing ] HID Headlamp Housing.

- Remove screws - arrows -.

- Remove the daytime running lamp and parking lamp LED module - 1 - from the headlamp housing.

- Disconnect the electrical wire - 4 - by releasing the retaining spring - arrow B -.





- Disconnect the electrical wire - 3 - by releasing the retaining spring - arrow A -.

- Remove the daytime running lamp and parking lamp LED module.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps Assembly Overview ] Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Check the seal - 1 - between the LED module and headlamp housing.

- Install headlamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Housing ] HID Headlamp Housing.
