Power Distribution Module: Service and Repair






Vehicle Electrical System Control Module

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the Replace function for the respective control module in Guided Fault Finding or Guided Functions.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.





- Remove the passenger side footwell cover.

- Remove the bolt - A - and footwell vent air duct - B -.

- Remove the nuts - 3 and 4 - and bolt - 1 -.





- Remove the passenger footwell relay carrier and fuse panel baseplate - 2 - - arrow -.

Vehicles through 05.09





- Release the retaining springs - A arrows - and remove the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) - item 1 - upward out of the relay and fuse panel - arrow B -.

- Press connector retaining strips - 1 and 2 - in - direction of arrow -.





- Unplug connectors.

Vehicles from 06.09





- Release the spring - arrows A - and remove the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) to the left from the relay and fuse panel - arrow B -.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 through 3 -.

- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the passenger footwell relay carrier base plate. Refer to => [ Relay Carrier and Fuse Panel, Passenger Side ] Relay Carrier and Fuse Panel, Passenger Side.
