Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor
• If motor is faulty, lower seat pan frame must be replaced.
Removing
• Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.
• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.
- Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Power Seat ] Power Seat.
- Secure the seat on the (VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136.
- Separate the seat pan upper frame from the lower frame. Refer to => [ Seat Pan, Disassembling and Assembling ] Seat Pan, Disassembling and Assembling.
• The inclination adjustment motor and height adjustment motor must be installed in the new seat pan lower frame.
- Remove the inclination adjustment motor - 1 -. Refer to => [ Seat Angle Adjustment Motor ] Seat Angle Adjustment Motor.
- Remove the height adjustment motor - 3 -. Refer to => [ Seat Height Adjustment Motor ] Seat Height Adjustment Motor.

Installation
• Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.
• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.
- Install the height adjustment motor - 3 - that was removed in the new seat pan lower frame - 4 -.
- Install the inclination adjustment motor - 1 - that was removed in the new seat pan lower frame.
Further installation is performed in reverse sequence of removal, but observe the following:
• Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.
Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.
- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.
• If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
