Input Shaft Ball Bearing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Thrust Pate (VW 401)
• Tube 37 mm Dia. (VW 416 B)
• Sleeve (2010)
• Pressure Stand (T40099)
Procedure
• Input shaft cover removed, refer to => [ Input Shaft Cover ] Input Shaft Cover.
• Pressure stand (T40099) adapted for using with the 0AW transmission. Refer to => [ Pressure Stand, Adapting to 0AW Transmission ] 0AW Transmission.
- Remove the circlip - 1 -.
- Measure and note thickness of removed locking ring.
• When installing, locking ring must be replaced with a new locking ring of the same thickness.
- Lay input shaft cover - 1 - on (T40099) and place under hydraulic press.
