Upper Timing Chain Cover

Removing






- Disconnect the connector from the camshaft adjustment valve 1 (N205) - 1 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and then the camshaft adjustment valve 1.

- Remove the bolts - 1 through 5 - and the upper timing chain guard.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Timing Chain Guards, Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) Overview ] Timing Chain Guards, Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) Overview.

• Replace the O-ring.

- Coat the seal and the O-ring with engine oil.

- Install the timing chain upper cover, tightening sequence, refer to => [ Upper Timing Chain Cover - Tightening Sequence ] Timing Chain Guards, Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) Overview.

- Install the camshaft adjustment valve 1. Refer to => [ Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) ] Service and Repair.
