Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80-200)

Removing

CAUTION!
Note safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] Airbag System General Safety Precautions and side airbags => [ Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions ] Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions and side curtain airbags => [ Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions ] Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions.

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Side Airbag Igniters, Folding Backrest ] Rear Side Airbag Igniters, Folding Backrest.

- Remove rear cross panel trim. Refer to => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ] Rear Cross Panel Trim.

- Remove luggage compartment side trim panel.

- Slide tie-downs - 1 - together in retaining tracks - 2 - so they are not over screws.





- Remove screws - arrow - and remove retaining tracks.

- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.





- If equipped, remove rubber grommet - 3 - on partition grille mount.

- Remove spring clamps from body - arrow -.

- Remove side luggage compartment trim - 4 - from luggage compartment.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install rear cross panel trim. Refer to => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ] Rear Cross Panel Trim.

- Install tie-down retaining tracks. Refer to => [ Tie-Down Retaining Rail ] Tie-Down Retaining Rail.

- Install rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Side Airbag Igniters, Folding Backrest ] Rear Side Airbag Igniters, Folding Backrest.

- Install rubber seal lip over leading edge on luggage compartment side trim.
