Central Valve

Removing

The central valves are right rear, between the spare wheel well and the rear muffler.

- Loosen the bolts - arrow - and then remove the expanding rivet - 1 - and plastic cover.







Always wear safety goggles!

The DRC lines must be extracted before disconnecting them from the central valve. Refer to => [ Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), Draining and Filling ] Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), Draining and Filling.

Perform this step on both wiring harnesses on the central valve.

- Remove the union nuts - 8 - and - 9 - or - 10 - and - 11 -, depending on the central valve.

- Remove the bolts - 4 - and - 3 - and the bracket - 2 - with the central valve.






Make sure the central valve still inside the vehicle cannot fall down when removing the central valve and the bracket - 2 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts.

- Install the central valve and bracket.

- Install the bolts.

- Install the DRC line connections for the appropriate lines on the central valve.

The new central valve is filled and the shut-off valves are closed.

Only when a new central valve is installed: open the shut-off valve on the new central valve and secure them with a locking nut.
