1 Bolt
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ]
2 Crankshaft Shaft Seal, Transmission Side
• Replacing, refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Transmission Side ] Service and Repair.
3 Alignment Bushing
• 2 pieces
4 Lower Timing Chain Cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] Lower Timing Chain Cover
5 Left Cylinder Head Gasket
6 Bolt
• Replace
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ]
7 Left Timing Chain Cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left and Right Timing Chain Covers ] Left and Right Timing Chain Covers
8 Bolt
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ]
9 Bolt
• Replace
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications
and Sequence ]
10 Right Timing Chain Cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left and Right Timing Chain Covers ] Left and Right Timing Chain Covers
11 Right Cylinder Head Gasket
12 Alignment Bushing
• 2 pieces
Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the bolts for the left timing chain cover.
- Tighten bolts in 2 stages in - 1 to 8 - sequence as follows:
Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the bolts for the left timing chain cover.
- Tighten bolts in 2 stages in - 1 to 8 - sequence as follows:
Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Tighten bolts in 5 stages as follows:
- Insert the bolts - arrows - and tighten them to 5 Nm.
- Tighten the bolts - 1 to 9 - in a diagonal sequence to 9 Nm using a torque wrench.
- Tighten bolts - arrows - to 9 Nm.
- Tighten the bolts - 7, 8 and 9 - to 20 Nm.
- Tighten the stud bolt - 3 - to 16 Nm.
