Digital Sound System Control Module, BOSE 6000 from September 2008

The digital sound system control module (J525) is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

- If control module is replaced, select replacement function for appropriate control module in guided fault finding routine.

Use the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

- Disconnect all connectors on digital sound system control module.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Remove the bolts - 1 - (3.5 Nm) at digital sound system control module - 2 - and remove digital sound system control module - 2 - from the bracket - 3 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order.
