Differential

Removing


• Slowly and carefully remove front final driver cover from transmission housing. Otherwise differential can fall out of transmission.

• A differential that has fallen out can no longer be installed. If differential falls out, transmission must be replaced.

• Make sure the differential bearing race and adjustment shims do not fall out of the transmission housing and front final drive cover.

• Bearing races and adjustments that have fallen out cannot be allocated with workshop equipment.

With transmission installed:

- Remove the front final drive cover.

With transmission removed:

- Remove front final drive cover. Refer to => [ Front Final Drive Cover ] Front Final Drive Cover.

All:

- Carefully remove differential - arrow -.





Installing

- Carefully install differential - arrow -.

With transmission installed:

- Install the front final drive cover.

With transmission removed:

- Install front final drive cover. Refer to => [ Front Final Drive Cover ] Front Final Drive Cover.
