Selector Shaft, Cleaning

• General repair instructions, refer to => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.

• Automatic transmission clean working conditions, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

Procedure

- Remove the end cover.

- Remove the transmission control module (J217). Refer to => [ Transmission Control Module ] Transmission Control Module.

- Clean the selector shaft catch - arrow -. Use a lint-free cloth. Clean contact surfaces of magnet thoroughly. Make sure there are no metal shavings on it.





• Make sure that spring - A - and the roller - B - are secured properly.

- Check the roller - B - and spring - A - for damage; replace if necessary.

- If necessary, clean sensors - A -, - C - and - D - from dirt and metal shavings.





- Install transmission control module (J217). Refer to => [ Transmission Control Module ] Transmission Control Module.

- Install the end cover.
