Multimedia Control Head (E380)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Removal Wedge (3409)

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

Removing

Vehicles with an automatic transmission

- Turn on the ignition.

- Place the selector lever in the "S" position.

- Turn off the ignition.

All vehicles

- Remove the key.

The multimedia control head is fastened - 1 - with springs in the center console - arrows -.






- Remove the A/C System control head - 1 - and fold the grommet - 2 - on the gearshift lever upward.






- Unlock the springs - arrows - with the (3409) and lift the multimedia control head - 3 - upward out of the center console.

Be careful of the short wires to the multimedia control head, the electro-mechanical parking brake button (E538) and the access/start authorization button (E408).

- Unlock and disconnect the connectors from the back of the multimedia control head.

Remove the electro-mechanical parking brake button and the access/start authorization button.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
