Front Backrest

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pop Rivet Pliers (VAS 5072)

• Drill

• 4.0 mm drill bit

• Protective Eyewear

Removing






- Remove the seat pan. Refer to => [ Seat Pan ] Seat Pan.

- Remove the seat adjustment control module. Refer to => [ Seat Adjustment Control Module ] Seat Adjustment Control Module.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

Eye injury risk.

• Wear protective eyewear!

- Drill out the blind rivet - 2 - with a 4 mm drill and remove retaining bracket - 3 -.

- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the backrest - 3 - and cut the cable ties - 2 - for the electrical wiring harness.

- Remove the backrest with the electrical wiring harness.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the bolts with locking compound. For locking compound refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
