Front Side Airbag Overview






1 Front Side Airbag

• Driver side: with the driver thorax airbag igniter (N199)

• Front passenger side: with the front passenger thorax airbag igniter (N200)

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Side Airbag Igniters (N199)/(N200) ] Side Airbag Igniters (N199)/(N200)

• Inserted in the pocket (pocket not shown here).

• Pocket sewn with cover.

2 Hook

• For securing the side airbag to the backrest frame

3 Backrest Frame

4 Bolt

• 8 Nm

• Replace

• Insert with locking compound. For locking compound, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

• Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned, for example, with thread cutter

5 Wiring Harness

• From the driver thorax airbag igniter (N199) or front passenger thorax airbag igniter (N200) to the connector station
