Digital Sound System Control Module 2 (J787), Bang & Olufsen

The digital sound system control module 2 is behind the luggage compartment trim panel on the left side and under the digital sound system control module (J525).

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine of the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Removing

- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment

It is necessary to first remove the bracket with the digital sound system control module.

- Disconnect the connectors from the digital sound system control module - 2 -.






- Connect the wiring set cap (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connection for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






- Remove the nuts and screws - arrows - from the bracket - 1 - and then remove the digital sound system control module - 2 - together with the bracket - 1 -.






The digital sound system control module covers the nuts on the digital sound system control module 2.

- Remove the screws - arrows - and remove the digital sound system control module - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.






- Remove the nuts - arrows - from the bracket - 2 - and then remove digital sound system control module 2 - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
