Accumulator: Description and Operation
ATF Pan, ATF Screen, Mechatronic and Hydraulic Pulse Memory with Accumulator Solenoid (N485) Overview
There is a risk of damaging the transmission.
• Do not start the engine when there is no ATF in the transmission or if the ATF pan has been removed.
• General repair instructions, refer to => [ Repair Information ] Repair Information.
• Clean working conditions for the automatic transmission, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.
• Always replace the Mechatronic unit if it is dirty or faulty.
• Coat O-rings and seals with ATF. Other types of lubrication lead to faults in the transmission hydraulics.
