D-Pillar Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing






Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

- Remove the rear roof grab handle. Refer to => [ Roof Grab Handle ] Roof Grab Handle.

- Remove the rear roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

- Disconnect the reading light electrical harness connector.

- Unclip guide strip trim - 1 - using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows - and remove it.

- Remove the screw - 1 -.






- Unclip the D-pillar trim - item 2 - using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrow A -.

- Pull the D-pillar trim from the rear shelf - arrow B - and remove.

Installing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Do not pinch the head curtain airbag when installing the D-pillar trim.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
