Module Carrier with Air Cushions for Lumbar Support

Removing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Description and Operation.

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

- Seat frame Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove backrest cushion together with backrest cover. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat ] Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Individual Power Rear Seat.

- Remove the seat adjustment control module bracket. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Adjustment Control Module ] Rear Seat Adjustment Control Module.

- Vehicles equipped with rear seat backrest blower fan: Remove rear seat backrest blower fan. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest Blower Fan V273/V272 ] Rear Seat Backrest Blower Fan V273/V272.

- Disconnect harness connectors and free up wiring harness at the lumbar support module carrier.

- Remove the bolts - 1 and 2 -.






- Detach lumbar support module carrier - 3 - at the seat frame - arrows -, push forward and remove.

Installing

• Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

• Observe all measures when installing the rear seat. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest ] Lower Seat Frame/Rear Seat Backrest.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
