Disassembly Of Rear A/C Unit
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Rear Heating and A/C Unit ] Rear Heating and A/C Unit.

Interchange of the wire connections to the temperature sensors or the connectors at the control motors results in problems regarding the regulation of the A/C system.
• Interchanged connectors at the control motors or the temperature sensors are not identified as malfunctions by the rear A/C display control head (E265).
• Prior to disconnecting connectors or removing electrical components, clearly label them in order to rule out confusion.
1 Rear Fresh Air Blower (V80)
• Refer to => [ Rear Fresh Air Blower (V80) ] Description and Operation.
• Do not disassemble further.
• Ensure the correct allocation using Electronic Parts Catalog.
• Check the function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
2 Evaporator (With Refrigerant Lines)
• Remove and install (only possible with the rear A/C unit removed), refer to => [ Rear Evaporator Replacement ] Rear Evaporator Replacement
• Check the glued-on foam seal. It must not be damaged and must be properly bonded.
3 Air Distributor Housing Of The Rear A/C Unit
• Do not disassemble further.
• With various doors for regulating the air flow direction to the left and right rear vents, refer to => [ Air Ducts and Vents In Rear Passenger Compartment ] Air Ducts and Vents In Rear Passenger Compartment.
4 Coupling Rod
• Mark before removing (risk of interchange).
5 Cam Disk
• Mark before removing (risk of interchange).
6 Left Rear Temperature Door Motor (V313)
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Left Rear Temperature Door Motor (V313) ] Left Rear Temperature Door Motor (V313).
• To rule out confusion, clearly label the wire routing, allocation and control motor for each installation location prior to disconnecting the connector or removing a control motor.
7 Screw
8 Left Rear Upper Body Vent Motor (V315)
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Left Rear Upper Body Vent Motor (V315) ] Left Rear Upper Body Vent Motor (V315).
• To rule out confusion, clearly label the wire routing, allocation and control motor for each installation location prior to disconnecting the connector or removing a control motor.
9 Actuating Lever
• Mark before removing (risk of interchange).
10 Left B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor (V212)

• To rule out confusion, clearly label the wire routing, allocation and control motor for each installation location prior to disconnecting the connector or removing a control motor.
11 Actuating Lever
• Do not disconnect from the connecting rod.
12 Connector Rod
• Do not disconnect from the actuating arm and from the doors.
13 Shut-Off Doors In The Vents To The Left B-Pillar and To The Left Footwell
• Do not disconnect from the connecting rod.
14 Lower Part Of The Rear Air Distributor Housing
• Remove from the air distributor housing of the rear A/C unit, refer to => [ Rear Evaporator Replacement ] Rear Evaporator Replacement.
15 Bracket
• For attaching the rear A/C unit to the center tunnel.
• Engaged in the lower part of the rear air distributor housing, do not remove.
16 Foam Ring
• Installed to seal between the A/C unit and the center tunnel on the condensation water drains.
• Check the rear condensation water drains, refer to => [ Rear Condensation Water Drains, Checking ] Rear Condensation Water Drains, Checking.
17 Shut-Off Doors In The Vents To The Right B-Pillar and To The Right Footwell
• Do not disconnect from the connecting rod.
18 Connecting rod
• Do not disconnect from the actuating arm and from the doors.
19 Right B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor (V211)
• Removal and installation, refer to=> [ Right B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor (V211) ] Right B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor (V211).
• To rule out confusion, clearly label the wire routing, allocation and control motor for each installation location prior to disconnecting the connector or removing a control motor.
20 Actuating Arm
• Do not disconnect from the connecting rod.
21 Rear Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J391)

23 Right Rear Upper Body Vent Motor (V316)

24 Air Duct On The Rear Fresh Air Blower (V80)
25 Threaded Stud
• Remains installed in the vehicle during removal of the A/C unit, refer to => [ Rear Heating and A/C Unit ] Rear Heating and A/C Unit.
26 Hex Head Nut
• Removed during removal of the A/C unit, refer to => [ Rear Heating and A/C Unit ] Rear Heating and A/C Unit.
• Install at the connection point of the refrigerant lines (tightening specification, refer to => [ Rear Heating and A/C Unit ] Rear Heating and A/C Unit).
