Parking Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

Electromechanical Parking Brake Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 505 x)

• The control module - 1 - is located inside the luggage compartment behind the left trim panel.





Removing

- Remove the luggage compartment trim panel on the left side.

- Remove the nuts - 1 -.





- Remove the control module - 2 - from the pins.

- Pull locking slide in - direction of arrow - and remove connector - 1 -.





Installing

- Connect the connector and lock it with the locking slider.

- Insert the control module.

• Make sure it is installed in the correct position





- Install the tighten the nuts to 10 Nm.

- Start the program in Guided Functions on the (VAS 505 x) if the control module is replaced.
