Selector Mechanism Overview


There is a risk of injury and accident from accidentally engaging a gear when the engine is running.

Before working on a running engine, move the selector lever to P and push the parking brake button in order to lock the electro-mechanical parking brake.

1 Selector Lever Handle

Can only be replaced as a unit

10 Shift Lock Solenoid (N110)

11 Transmission Park Selector Switch (F305)

Consists of two micro switches on the circuit board on the shift lock solenoid

Can only be replaced together with the shift lock solenoid, refer to => [ Shift Lock Solenoid (N110) ] Shift Lock Solenoid (N110)

12 Noise Insulation

Not on all vehicles; for the correct allocation, refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA

13 Lock Washers

For securing the noise insulation to the shift mechanism function unit

Secures selector lever cable on selector mechanism function unit

15 O-ring
