Defect Codes 15 - 19

Defect Codes 15 to 19:

*D* Defect code memory: Limit switch (S3) signals defect:

Explanation:

The control module detects the end position of the turn-catch by way of the limit switch. After activation of a drive, the control module expects a signal change at the switch (switch switches B+). A second signal change takes place when the turn-catch has reached its end position (open closed) (switch interrupts).

This defect code is stored when one of the signal changes does not take place.

Effect of defect:

Initially, the control unit evaluates failure of the signal change as a drive blocking. The relay for motor reverse is switched on, the turn-catch drive moves in the opposite direction of rotation.

The drive is switched off if the signal change also fails during this procedure. Operation is resumed when:

- The defect is eliminated and the defect code memory has been cleared and
- a *D* test run has been performed for the turn-catch drive.

Note:

As a result of the test run, the turn-catch drive which was switched off now assumes a defined end position. During the test run, the control module once again checks the limit switch.

Possible causes:

- Blocking of the turn-catch drive.
- Stiff movement of the turn-catch drive.
- Failure of turn-catch drive (electric motor defective or wires from relay module to electric motor have a break).
- Relay In relay module defective (see defect codes 01 to 07 or 08 to 14).
- Fuse for limit switch defective.
- Wire from fuse to limit switch defective.
- Limit switch (microswitch) defective (electrically or mechanically).
- Wire from limit switch to control module defective.

Troubleshooting:

- Clear defect code memory.
- *D* Select test procedure.
- Skip test step "ZV detection".
- Perform test run for the turn-catch drive.
- Troubleshooting as displayed on screen.

For further Information on test run, see defect code 27.
