Defect Code 01-08:

*D* 1 Defect codes memory: One or several Defect codes between 01 and 08 stored:

Explanation: The transducers and their supply wires are checked for

- Shield short to ground
- Transducer wire short to ground
- Transducer wire short to shield
- Shield break
- Transducer wire break
- Transducer continuous signal (decay error)

Possible cause: Wire, plug connection or transducer damaged or Defective.

If the Defect code "transducer continuous signal is stored for one of the rear center transducers, check whether the vehicle has been driven with a trailer.
In this case, there is no fault in the PDC system; simply clear the Defect code memory.
