General Malfunction:

Note: The BMW diagnostic system provides the option of checking the entire function range of the central locking module via the symbol *D* Test procedure (BMW MoDiC *D* Status monitoring and *D* Component activation).

Troubleshooting:

Proceed as follows in the case of malfunctions:

- *D* Defect code memory: is a defect code stored? If necessary, rectify defect as shown on display screen.
- If no defect code is stored, select *D* Test procedure. Select central locking system in the test procedure. Carefully read and observe all information provided on screen. Perform all checks. If a defect is found, more detailed information can be called up with *(down arrow)*.
