Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch trim
- Remove panel for rear window shelf 51 46 001 Removing and Installing Panel For Rear Window Shelf (Parcel Shelf)





Lever out cable holder (1).
Lever out cover (2) and remove.
3 - Luggage compartment lid





Release screw (1).

Note:
Before nuts (3) are released, a 2nd person must open rear lid and hold angle transmitter (2).

Unscrew nuts (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ [1][2]Specifications.





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Remove angle transmitter (2) with retaining bracket (3).
4 - Right rear lid hinge

Installation:
Angle transmitter (2) is initialized by automatic closing and opening once.
